After getting a single suggestion, the cast of six professional comedians asks the audience to choose a detective. Enjoy as they invent a tale of crime, secrets, and scandals right before your eyes. The performers will keep track of facts, follow leads, and conclude who is the murderer, all while you take in a comedy experience unlike any you’ve seen before. During the show, they’ll employ the tropes, character archetypes, and influences of Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Sherlock Holmes, Nick and Nora Charles, Encyclopedia Brown, and just a dash of Scooby-Doo.

This holiday season… a full-length comedy musical is coming to the Second City. Predictable Holiday Rom-Com: The Musical takes the exact same Christmas love story you’ve seen in hundreds of Hallmark-style TV movies — and adds 17 hilarious pop songs. With book and lyrics by George Reinblatt (Evil Dead The Musical, The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber) and music by Suzy Wilde (After The Rain), this all-Canadian musical is staging a limited engagement sneak peek for just TWO WEEKS ONLY.

The Stuntmen and Los Improviachis will perform a benefit for PAWS Chicago. All proceeds will go to that organization. PAWS will provide handlers and 2 or 3 adoptable puppies to perform with the Stuntmen. To date, 100% of the puppies appearing in our Benefit shows have been adopted.

Lights, Camera, Distraction! is an hour-long sketch show that spoofs, subverts,
and satirizes the silver screen moments that defined us. For film buffs and
casual moviegoers alike, it’s a whirlwind tour through decades of cinema history
that refuses to take any of it seriously.

Writer/Director Chris Kivlahan (from the viral online sketch comedy group Wet
Mouth) combines his deep love of movies and deeper love of parody to bring a
fast-paced hour of what-ifs, deleted scenes, and whimsical send-ups of the
theater experience to Second City’s intimate Donny’s Skybox theater.

A Vietnamese Veterans Day Comedy Show coheadlined by Will Pepper and Vic Van Tran.

Vic Van Tran is a stand up comedian from Houston who abandoned his loved ones to pursue a pipe dream in New York. Victor is a regular at New York Comedy Club and tours opening for Ronny Chieng. Victor’s performed on festivals such as Skankfest, SXSW, Limestone Comedy Festival, and New York Comedy Festival.

Will Pepper is a Vietnamese American comedian based in Los Angeles whose sharp storytelling and offbeat observations make audiences feel like they’re catching up with an old friend—one who’s just a little too honest. A recurring character on the popular Uncle Roger Show (with over 10 million views), he’s toured with Jason Cheny and Jimmy O. Yang, and performed at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Starship Edsel is an improvised farce set aboard Starfleet’s worst vessel, the USS Edsel. Plagued with mechanical problems and design flaws, and filled with Starfleet’s most problematic personnel, the Edsel was assigned to remain in parking orbit above a vacation planet, ordered to give VIP’s tours of an “authentic Federation Starship.” After an incursion by the Romulan Empire, the Edsel was thrust into the center of a galactic crisis.
