Spotlight at the Second City is a new series from Taylor Hreljac &amp; Gabe Meacher that celebrates sketch comedy&#8217;s best troupes. Each month, The Second City will open its doors to the next generation of sketch by putting the spotlight on two of our favourite sketch troupes. Audiences will get to enjoy a double-header sketch show: two acts, one amazing night of fresh comedy.

These non-Second City productions are original works created and produced by guest performers and ensembles. With limited runs, these performances allow for complete creative freedom and may feature artists of any experience level.

A sketch is a short, scripted comedy scene. Think Key and Peele or SNL. Some people might call it a "skit," but we never do. Chicago is the home of modern sketch comedy, and today, you can experience it at all Second City locations.

Not Safe for Work is a brand-new comedy show clocking in to roast the unrelenting day-to-day grind. From incompetent managers and weird co-workers to impossible customers and inboxes that are like an all-you-can-eat buffet of stupidity, no job is safe. Whether you’re hustling in the gig economy, surviving the 9-to-5, or just trying to make it through one more Zoom call without consuming a vat of medical-grade caffeine, The Second City’s cast of comedic professionals are here working overtime with their world-famous brand of sketch and improv comedy.
