What does a tin box, an artist's dreams, and a voodoo cult from New Orleans have in common? This is the question that Francis Thurston seeks to answer when he embarks upon an investigation after inheriting his uncle's notes, but this investigation threatens not only his sanity but also his life. There is something that lurks beneath the ocean and in the corners of human consciousness and Francis Thurston is in danger of finding it.
