Study improv as an acting technique and its use in the development of a Second City-style revue in this advanced program, the cornerstone of The Second City Training Centre. Students in the Conservatory program build upon the fundamentals of improv, advance their scenic and character skills, explore forms and styles and learn how to use improv to create material for a satiric comedy revue.
An audition is required for admission to the Conservatory. To be eligible to audition, students must have completed one year of improv training (i.e. Improv A-E or equivalent). Also a Theatre degree, professional acting experience, or a text-based acting course are an asset. To be considered for an audition, please fill out the Conservatory Submission Form. Your resume should include any relevant improv training and/or performance experience. You do not need to have a professional headshot. A photo that looks like you is great!
