Oprah Winfrey was not the only Chicago icon at ATD 2019. Second City Works, the cutting-edge professional services arm of the world-renowned Second City comedy theater, was there too!
Kirk, Brooke, Scott, and Drew, part of our Second City Works ensemble, met with hundreds of talent development professionals to talk about the power of improv training on personal growth and organizational improvement.
The big highlight for us was announcing our new experiential learning program Improvising Radical Candor, in partnership with Radical Candor, the executive education company based on The New York Times bestseller, Radical Candor: Be a Kickass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity.
Watch Steve Johnston, president of The Second City, and Kim Scott, co-founder of Radical Candor talk about how improvisation gets Radical Candor up on its feet allowing people to get more comfortable giving and receiving development feedback.
In front of a packed house of over 400 L&D professionals, Kim Scott, author of Radical Candor, and Becca Barish, facilitator at Second City Works, delivered an engaging and interactive learning experience of Improvising Development Feedback and Keeping Cool When Conversations Heat Up.
