It goes without saying that New York is a large, vibrant city that attracts millions of tourists every year. There are hundreds of lodging options to choose from for your time in the city: hotels, hostels, bed & breakfasts, Airbnb locations, dorms, and more! You can always find lodging in New York by doing a basic Internet search, and of course considering recommendations from friends and family.
There are a few other local lodging options of which summer students can take advantage, listed below. While we recommend these options as a courtesy to our students, The Second City Training Center is not affiliated with these businesses, and you must contact them directly for information and reservations.
More and more of our students are going the Airbnb route. While we can’t recommend specific units and we urge students to read reviews, research neighborhoods, and use caution when choosing a place to stay, this option can be a great way to get the most for your money while you’re here. The Second City is not able to set up housing for students. Please contact hotels, hostels, or Airbnbs directly for accommodations and rates.

The neighborhood in which we are located is called Williamsburg and is a busy area with lots of restaurants, shops, bars, and residences.
Public transportation is the easiest way to get around in New York; most people who live here don’t have cars! The city has an expansive train system and bus lines. Citi Bikes are also located everywhere and are a great alternative option.
