Stephen C. James fled Texas in 1999, moving to L.A. to pursue a career in free verse poetry, as he misunderstood which “Industry” people were referencing. Since 2003 he has run the drama program at an area middle school. He performs frequently in the Los Angeles area, but most often with The TuskegeeXperiment, recent guests at the Chicago Improv Festival, and with Nerdvana, a two person sketch/improv group that has graced both The Out of Bounds Festival in Austin and Chicago Sketchfest. He can also be seen in The Loft of IO West where he hosts and performs in the Sunday Social every week.
