Deb Doetzer has been working in voiceover, theater and improv for over two decades. A proud member of the performers’ unions AEA and SAG-AFTRA, as well as the National Educators Association (NEA), her voice has been heard for such national accounts as Blockbuster, State Farm, McDonald’s, Nestle’s Toll House, Kraft Mac and Cheese, SC Johnson, Ford, Red Lobster, and Netflix among numerous others. She has played characters as diverse as a talking cashew for Fisher Nut’s Clear Can Campaign, to a Scrubbing Bubble for SC Johnson, to Penny the Penguin in an animated short for Seaworld. Deb is currently the voice for Emmi, an interactive medical tool that is revolutionizing the healthcare industry, and can be heard on various PlayStation, XBox and computer games (most notably Sacred 2 and Red Faction) as well as on a few slot machines in various casinos across the country. Deb is currently an ensemble member of Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, where she was last seen in the critically acclaimed performance of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4. Deb has performed in Shear Madness with both the Chicago and Boston companies, and has also worked at The Annoyance Theater, Eclipse Theater and Improv Olympic. Deb has performed original sketch and improv comedy in NYC, Boston, Chicago, at Los Angeles’ famed The Comedy Store, and many small towns, colleges and universities in between. An instructor at Acting Studio Chicago since 2000, Deb has taught Beginning and Intermediate Voiceover, as well as facilitating the Work Out with the Pros advanced class. Deb has been adjunct faculty at Columbia College teaching Voiceover 1 and Audiobooks Narration in the radio department since 2009 and is thrilled to add Second City to her teaching credits. In spring 2013, she will become adjuct faculty in the theater department at DePaul University. Deb is available for private coaching and demo production as well.
