Yes Yes Y’all is where freestyle rap meets improv. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand new to musical improv, this 4-week class will give you the tools to flow on beat, build lyrical imagery on the fly, and bring characters to life through rhyme. You’ll explore rhythmic play, rhyme patterns, metaphor, group beats, and rapping in character, all grounded in the “Yes, And” of improvisation.
By the end, you’ll be dropping bars with confidence and swagger, even if you’ve never rapped before. No prior musical improv experience is required. Just bring your voice, your curiosity, and your willingness to jump in.
Taught by Juno-nominated MC and Second City Mainstage alum PHATT al (Artistic Director, Toronto Training Centre), this class is for anyone ready to level up their improv game with the boldness and rhythm of hip-hop.
