Intro to Solo

In this 4-week class, students will explore various ways to perform a solo act. This includes character work, storytelling / stand-up, and acting. This class is also good for people who are interested in the foundation of crafting a solo show. There will be homework and a class show as part of this curriculum.

“Intro to Solo” will be taught by The Second City Training Center NY Artistic Director, Jonald Reyes. Jonald has Directed over 30 solo shows including Aneesa Folds’s “Why Am I Here?” (The Asylum, NYC), Doctor Mike’s “A-Live Tour” (Regional), and Stacey Smith’s “Confessions of Chubby Tomboy” (Chicago).

He also has extensive experience as a Creative Consultant for many stand-up comics, SNL Auditions, and Just For Laughs Showcases.
