An intensive for improvisers from around the world to experience Second City’s unique approach to material creation.This intensive will have performers diving into Second City-style scene work, sharpening their ability to create dynamic characters, recognize and heighten the comic tension in a scene, and use re-improvisation to take scenes from loose ideas to fully written sketches. Students will receive personalized feedback to help them stretch their performance and writing muscles and develop their comedic point of view. This class is participatory and collaborative. Improvisers will showcase their work at the end of the week with a public performance.Showcase on ThursdayPrerequisite: At least one year of improv training at Second City or another accredited improv training institution.
