About the Artists

BRENNAN ASBRIDGE (Ensemble)

Brennan Asbridge is a comedian, writer, actor, and home baker. She has performed with the Bad Dog Featured Players, as an understudy for The Second City Mainstage, and across North America with her duo Two Girls One Trenchcoat. As a screenwriter you may have seen her work for YTV’s The Zone. Her sketch group $20 Sandwich has amassed 10s of millions of views online, check them out @20dollarsandwich on instagram and tiktok. Please inquire in-person for pictures of her dogs!

TYRA BANDA (Ensemble)

Tyra Banda is a Queer Black artist based in Toronto Ontario. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta – she got her first taste of Theatre when she pursued a BA in drama at the University of Alberta. She was part of Rapid Fire Theatre, as well as multiple Edmonton Fringe Festival shows (Chuckle Ruckus, Big Stupid Improv Show, DieNasty). Tyra moved out to Toronto in 2019 for a diploma in Comedy Writing and Performance from Humber College. While in the city she has been part of the Bad Dog Featured Players (Season 7), and teaches classes with the company. Tyra has gotten to do improv festivals all over the country (Vancouver International Improv Festival, Winnipeg Improv Festival, Ottawa Improv Festival, Improvaganza), and is 1/8 of Toronto’s most well behaved improv troupe, “Little Miss Normal”.

JON BLAIR (Ensemble)

Jon Blair has been a fixture in Toronto sketch comedy for over 20 years. A pioneering figure in the city’s solo sketch comedy scene, Jon has performed at festivals across Canada and the US, created the sketch webseries Now More Than Ever on Youtube, and won a Dora award for his ensemble work with theatre company Sex T-Rex. He’s written numerous solo shows including Clip Show, I’m Only One Man and his recent Fringe hit A Comedy Show at the End of the World. He is a former head writer for the weekly sketch show Sunday Night Live, and has written for This Hour Has 22 Minutes and CBC Radio’s Because News. When Jon isn’t performing, he enjoys sitting at home motionless in the dark.

GHAZAL GHIAMI (Ensemble)

Ghazal Ghiami is an Iranian-born comedian living in Toronto. She got her start at The Beaverton, where she formerly served as an editor. She is a graduate of Bad Dog’s Studio Series and now regularly performs with the company. She has performed at several improv festivals, including some with her extremely volatile troupe, Mrs. Beast. She is doing well these days.

Nicky Nasrallah

NICKY NASRALLAH (Ensemble)

Nicky Nasrallah cut his comedy teeth training at Second City, and as a member of Songbuster: An Improvised Musical, sketch troupe Panacea, and the Canadian Comedy Award winning show A Sketch Comedy Extravaganza Eleganza. He’s toured the east coast with Nicky’s Solo Improvised Musical and the Babes Babes Babes Burlesque and Drag tour. He’s the co-creator and co-star of Yaas & Vyle drag improv shows A Play We Just Wrote Just Now and Sex and The Golden Girls. He’s a two time Canadian Podcast Award winner for Squirrel Talk Podcast, a voice in Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6, and appears in the film Queen Tut, now streaming on CRAVE.

RHYS NAYLOR (Ensemble)

Rhys Naylor is a Toronto-based actor, comedian, and writer. An alum of the Second City Conservatory and the Bad Dog Theatre Featured Players, He has performed sketch and improv comedy across North America, and performs regularly across the city with his improv troupe Little Miss Normal. As an actor, he appeared in Brandy Hewitt’s film “Mood” and Abigail Lapell’s “Old Flames” music video. Find him on Instagram @rhysnaylor

KRIS SIDDIQI (Director)

Kris Siddiqi is a comedian, actor, and writer from Toronto. A Canadian Comedy Award winner, he trained with The Second City and joined its Mainstage cast in 2009, co-writing three revues. He’s voiced countless cartoons, served as the network voice of CMT, and appeared on CBC’s Because News. Kris created and starred in the award-winning series Bit Playas, earning two Canadian Screen Awards and global festival honors. His credits include I Woke Up a Vampire (Netflix), Titans (HBOMax), Molly’s Game, The Boys (Prime), The Changeling (Apple TV+), and Baroness von Sketch Show. He also created and stars in the D&D podcast Dwarven Moss, winner of Best Leisure Podcast at the Canadian Podcast Awards.

JAMES ATIN (Music Director)

James Atin is a multi-instrumentalist MD, composer and producer. He published a series of student piano books called The A-G Piano Book Series which have sold thousands of copies around the world. He co-wrote and produced the theme songs for the hit podcasts ‘Under the Influence’ and “We Regret to Inform You”. He wrote an opera that was performed by the WSO and Orquesta Clasica de Cancún. He toured Canada with The Pick Brothers Band playing some big festivals like Festival d’été. He has produced countless recordings for various artists, written music for film and TV (including the hit series American Pickers), performed in numerous bands, and MD’d hundreds of comedy shows. He is super stoked to be the MD of Second City Tourco!

SOPHI MAVE (Stage Manager)

Sophi Mave is a Toronto-based stage manager, performer and director. Recent stage management credits include: A Cigarette That’s Good For You (Toronto Fringe), Dying on the Outside (Julie Nolke), TEASE (Crow’s Theatre/Big City Kitties), Dead Parents Society (Next Stage), UNFURL (Toronto Fringe). Sophi has also apprenticed with companies like Canadian Stage and YPT. At the Second City, Sophi has been a part of the stage management team since 2022 as an understudy for Tourco and Mainstage, as well as running various other in-house shows. She hopes you are as excited to be here as she is. Enjoy the show!
