The Ensemble

ZOE AGAPINAN

Zoe Agapinan (she/her) is a California-born and Chicago-based actor, improviser and writer. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with her degree in Theater Arts, and a minor in Economics (just in case!!). She is an alumni of The Second City’s Severn Darden Graduate Program, and a 2022 Bob Curry Fellow. Outside of The Second City, Zoe also regularly performs at The Saturday Show (Logan Square Improv) and The Armando Diaz Experience (iO Theater). LEXI ALIOTO

Lexi Alioto (she/her) is thrilled to be back performing with The Second City. Previously, she has been seen in SC’s She The People both at home in Chicago and on tourShe is an alumni of Second City’s Severn Darden Graduate Programs TWISTY and Infinite Sundaes. She has improvised, written, and performed all over the Chicago stages, notably: The Annoyance (Bite Sized Broadway), Baby Wants Candy, and The Playground (Queer Eye: The Musical Parody).  She is proudly repped by Grossman & Jack Talent. ALEX BELLISLE

Alex Bellisle (She/Her/Hers) is thrilled to be performing with this rockstar group! Alex is a Chicago-based actress and comedian with a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Houston. She has appeared in the critically acclaimed She the People at The Second City’s UP Comedy Club and Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, D.C. Other credits include Chicago P.D. (NBC) and in the short First Holiday. Alex would like to thank the cast, Jack, and her personal graphic designer and wife, also named Alex (you’re welcome). MAX KANTOR

Max Kantor (he/him/his) is an actor, writer, and comedian from Atlanta, Georgia. A student and graduate of both the Second City Conservatory and Annoyance Class Program, Max can be seen performing weekly in the HF Comedy Hour (Annoyance Theatre) and around town with his improv duo M&M, improv team You Seem Like, and comedy group Chicago Live Improv Club. Max attended Georgia State University and is repped by Grossman & Jack Talent. Also, he’s a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins and his favorite food is the sandwich! 

MAX LAZERINE

Max Lazerine is an actor and improviser from Minneapolis Minnesota. He received his BA from Columbia College Chicago. He can be seen performing with the legendary HF comedy hour at the Annoyance Theatre and also with his writing partner and best friend Annie Sullivan.

ANTHONY LEBLANC

Anthony LeBlanc works at Nickelodeon/Paramount doing talent development and as an on-set acting coach on such hit shows as The Reboot of All That and The Really Loud House. He acted as Interim Executive Producer of The Second City in 2020. Previously, LeBlanc served as an Artistic Director for The Second City Inc., as well as a part-time faculty member at Columbia College Chicago. Anthony is a Second City alum who wrote and performed in two original Chicago Mainstage revues, Taming of the Flu and the Jeff Award-nominated America: All Better!. He has been a teacher and resident director for Second City, directing several resident stage and theatrical productions in Chicago and Washington, D.C., including The Winner … of Our Discontent (Chicago Mainstage), Soul Brother, Where Art Thou? (The Second City e.t.c.), Generation Gap at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Helen Hayes-nominated Nothing to Lose (But Our Chains) at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. And Independently including The Magic Negro and Other Blackity Blackness as Told by an African-American Man Who Also Happens to be Black at The Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. A native of Beaumont, Texas, Anthony holds a degree in Computer Science and Physics from Loyola University New Orleans. Anthony is an autistic Blerd dedicated to promoting Neurodiversity and DEI in comedy.

MARLA CÁCERES
Director (he/him/his) is excited to direct Rudolph Runs Wild! She has written and performed with Second City debuts in the Kennedy Center, LaJolla Playhouse, and the Arscht Center in Miami, her hometown. Marla has assistant directed ETC and Mainstage revues, and directed No Grown-ups Allowed. Other credits include Piven Theatre, Annoyance Theatre, iO Theatre’s improv satire Whirled News Tonight, and writing branded content at The Onion. She thanks her husband James and kids Wyatt and Juniper, the funniest people she knows.


DANIEL PARSONS
Stage Manager & Lighting Designer Daniel has been a freelance theatre technician-type for dozens of Chicagoland productions with companies including Timeline Theatre, Raven Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The House Theatre, The Hypocrites, Blue Man Group (Chicago Residency, National Tour & World Tour) and is currently the Assistant Technical Director here at The Second City. Daniel is a proud company member of Playmaker’s Laboratory Theatre (and is currently stage managing/designing lights for their holiday show as well)!  Originally from Ohio, Daniel holds a Bachelor’s in Technical Theatre Studies from Kent State University. He started his career at Barter Theatre, the State Theatre of Virginia, where he Stage Managed over 40 Theatre for Young Audience productions.  He also smiles at dogs and juggles. 


MAYA TANAKA ALLWARDT
Music Director (she/her) is a jazz fusion pianist, composer, and music director originally from the SF Bay Area. Having competed classically nationally and internationally, she holds 2 gold medals, as well as performing at venues such as B.B. Kings, Andy’s Jazz Club, and Carnegie Hall, and with artists such as Gordon Goodwin, Wayne Bergeron, and Jiggs Whigham. Maya was a member of the 2022 Disneyland All-American College Band and is a Yamaha sponsored artist. @mayatanakamusic

JOHN KELLY
Technical Director
(he/him/his) is a Chicago-based theatre technician and designer who has been the Technical Director for Second City since 2022. Other Second City credits include lighting design for The Devil is in the Detours, The Realish Housewives of… (Nat. Tour 2016) and Skyline’s the Limit (SC Toronto). John has also been an ensemble member with Strawdog Theatre Company since 2013 where he received Jeff nominations for the lighting designs of Great Expectations (2013/2014) and D.O.A. (2016). Understudies 

AARON ALICEA

Aaron Alicea (he/him) is from the infamous Long Island, NY. He started doing standup in Columbus, OH in 2019, then moved to Chicago during the pandemic in 2021 (surprisingly an awful time to make such a massive life transition) and began exploring other comedy mediums. He has vast performance experience in improv, sketch writing, acting, and music from several theaters he calls home, like The Annoyance Theatre or The Pack Theater in LA. He has performed in hundreds of shows around the country, was a recipient of the Bob Curry Fellowship at Second City in 2023, is currently on the all-Latine comedy troupe Escándalo at iO Theater, and is working on several projects he’s excited to show you all. RUBY AVIÑA

Ruby Aviña is a non-binary Latine comedian and actor from Brighton Park on Chicago’s Southside. They have been performing comedy professionally since 2019, training at iO Theater with a focus on sketch, improvisation, and character work. In 2023, Ruby was honored to participate in the Bob Curry Fellowship and recently performed with Antojitos Comedy at Destinos, the Chicago Latino Theater Festival.  Ruby is excited to join Rudolph Run Wild as an understudy in this silly, fun, and festive holiday production. Often described as a living, breathing cartoon character, Ruby brings a vibrant energy to every stage, creating performances full of joy and connection. 

DANI JAMES

Dani James is an actor and curve model from Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. She can be seen improvising all around Chicago. She is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory and the School at Steppenwolf.  Her most recent credit is her one woman show You Can Cry When You Get Home which she performed at Steppenwolf Theatre Company as part of The Lookout series.  She has also modeled nationally and locally. Some favorites include Macys, Famous Footwear, and HUM Nutrition.  She is represented by 10MGMT and 10 Talent Agency in Chicago.  For upcoming shows and cute outfits Instagram: @Dani_James 

NICK JOE

Nick Joe (He/Him) is a comedian and actor from Chicago and is so excited to understudy for Rudolph Runs Wild! He has also performed at Second City (Oh, The Places You’ll Glow u/s; It’s A Bao Dam Time & Unmuted), Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre (Baked! The Musical), and The Annoyance Theater (Your Lil Friend & Yippee Ki-Yay Merry Christmas: A Die Hard Parody). Nick is a graduate of Second City’s Conservatory and recipient of the inaugural Victor Wong Fellowship. You can currently find him performing with Stir Friday Night. DARYN ROBINSON

Daryn Robinson (she/her) is a writer/performer originally from Washington, D.C. Recent Second City Credits include The Second City’s She The People, understudying for The Second City e.t.c. and the Touring Company. She also performs with Shamilton! The Improvised Hip-Hop Musical (Baby Wants Candy), Improvised Jane Austen (iO Theater), and My Best Friend is Black (Lincoln Lodge). Daryn contributes to The Onion, holds an M.F.A. from Northwestern University, and is represented by DDO Artists Agency. Love to Mom, Dad, Lori, Donald, and Michael! IG: @daryn_2dream.

CONNER STUMM

Conner Stumm (he/him) is excited to be performing in his first show with The Second City. He recently wrote and performed as Batman in The Batman Show at the Annoyance Theater, and performs weekly with his improv team, Creamboy, at the iO Theater. He was also recently nominated in the Chicago Reader for 2023’s Best Comedian (non standup). Conner is represented by Paonessa Talent and you can follow him on Instagram at @connerscomedy. Shannon Golden
Stage Manager
(they/them) is thrilled to be returning to Second City where they have previously worked on You Got Gamed, Queer Eye the Musical Parody, and Deck the Hallmark. Other stage management credits include: Chicago Children’s Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Rivendell Theatre Company, American Blues Theatre, and A Red Orchid Theatre. All the love to Mac and Ravioli!

Cesar Romero
Music Director
Cesar Romero was born & raised in Chicago. From an early age, Cesar always displayed a deep interest in art, particularly music. From jamming in rock bands during high school to performing with many orchestras, Cesar has participated in a variety of scenes in and around Chicago. During these times, Cesar has been part of band pits for musicals such West Side Story and In the Heights with groups like Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. Cesar has even opened up and played alongside such memorable characters as Jay Leno and Joan Osbrone. This is only to name a small portion of the years, but no matter what, Cesar loves to remain humble and eager to work on his next project.
