About the Artists

COKO GALORE

COKO GALORE (She/They) is an actor, comedian and producer based in Toronto, Canada. She is the former Artistic and Managing Director of The Bad Dog Comedy Theatre (2020-2022), where she was instrumental in the creation of their digital platforms during the Covid-19 pandemic. Coko is a noted producer of comedy shows in Toronto, her credits include being Festival Director of Black and Funny and Asian and Funny, and co-producer of The Untitled Black Sketch Project. Coko Galore is an actor, host, comedian who performs across disciplines including live comedy shows, podcasts, panels, events, TV, and film. Her performance credits include an acclaimed live solo show MIXED CHICK (2015 Toronto Fringe), headlining comedy festivals in North America with her comedy duo Coko & Daphney, and a few appearances on TV shows including Tallboyz. When she’s not performing, Coko Galore drinks lots of water, minds her business, and takes naps! ~ @cokogalore

TOM HEARN

TOM HEARN (He/Him) is a Canadian Comedy award winning sketch comedian, actor, writer and director. Tom has toured their 5 star reviewed solo show “SLANG” & “Gay Garbage” all over North America, winning mutiple ‘Best of the Fest’ and ‘Hot Ticket’ awards. Tom has amassed over 400k followers between TikTok and Instagram. DEVON HENDERSON

DEVON HENDERSON (Ensemble) (She/Her) has been performing with The Second City since 2018, when she was a cast member of Improv Showdown. She has also performed in the Patch Company shows The Second City Totally Likes You and Take Me Out to the Improv: Spooky Edition. She is also an instructor and performer at Bad Dog Theatre, where she was a member of the 2018 Featured Players. Her Bad Dog credits include Theatresports, Super Hot Date Night, The Rat King, and Toronto, I Love You. Her comedy duo, TwoSon, wrote and performed the critically-acclaimed An Evening with Devon & Jackie at the 2022 Toronto Fringe. Select festival credits: Sketchfest Seattle, Toronto Sketchfest, Vancouver Sketchfest, Improvaganza, Montreal Sketchfest, The Detroit Improv Festival, District Improv, and the Del Close Marathon. LIZ JOHNSTON

Liz Johnston (Ensemble) (She/Her) is so excited to return to the stage with the Second City Touring Company! Liz is a Canadian Comedy Award nominee for her show Entrances and Exits which she co-created and a cast member of the award winning show D&D Live produced by Sex T Rex. She directed and co-created the hit show Roses & Thorns with Bad Dog Theatre and has been invited to festivals from London to Bangkok. Over the course of the pandemic Liz worked with Outside The March Theatre Company to develop and perform the highly acclaimed telephonic show The Ministry for Mundane Mysteries which was featured in the New York Times and recently awarded a special citation from the Toronto Theatre Critics Association. On TV you can catch her as a series regular on Nickelodeon’s Star Falls, or CMT’s Almost Genius, as well as on Murdoch Mysteries, and several commercials for snack food. IG: @lizjohnston12

SHOHANA SHARMIN SICILIA

SHOHANA SHARMIN SICILIA (Ensemble) (She/Her) is a Bangladeshi-born comedian, writer, and theatre artist, and now lives in Toronto with her adorable antisocial cat Ariel. Shohana is a proud Muslim queer woman of colour. She is a recipient of the 2020 Queer Emerging Artist Award at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Shohana is the creator and a cast member of the critically acclaimed award-winning dark sketch comedy revue “Dead Parents Society.” A member of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre’s 2019 Emerging Creators Unit (under the mentorship of Catherine Hernandez), Nightwood Theatre’s 2019 Young Innovators program, and b current Theatre’s 2019 bcHub Emerging Artists cohort, Shohana presented her first solo show “Come Here Often?” (directed by Akosua Amo-Adem) as part of 2019 Queer Pride at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. She is an alumna of the Featured Players at Bad Dog Comedy Theatre and of the Second City’s Improv and Longform Conservatories. Shohana has performed in comedy and theatre festivals across North America with her award-winning troupe Not Oasis (2017 The Toronto Fringe Patrons Pick, NOW Critic’s Pick). You can read Shohana’s short stories in The Vault magazine, Broadview magazine, and Living Hyphen, and you can listen to her podcast “Finders Grievers” on The Sonar Network. She wishes she could be more like her mother.

SCOTT YAMAMURA

SCOTT YAMAMURA (Ensemble) (He/Him) Being a part of the Second City Tourco cast has been Scott’s lifelong dream. You reading this are now also a part of said dream. Now that he has achieved it, please enjoy his slow descent into oblivion/madness/some sort of mix of the two. Outside of Second City you can catch him on Season 3 of Transplant, the movie entitled, “The Incident Report” or on his hit podcast “What’s with all the YAMS there’s too many YAMS here!”. He is currently enrolled at UCLA in a dramatic television writing program, just to keep things spicy. 

SAM POLITO

SAM POLITO (Stage Manager) (He/Him) is a stage manager, technician, and comedian from Etobicoke. Sam has worked on over a dozen productions with The Second City Toronto. Including their family and education companies. He hopes you have as much fun watching the show as the cast and crew did making it.

JORDAN ARMSTRONG

JORDAN ARMSTRONG (Music Director) (She/Her) is a composer, musical director, and performer known for her improvised accompaniment and band leading. Highlights include composing for and musical directing three critically-acclaimed Second City Mainstage reviews, Death Ray Cabaret (Best of the Fest, Outstanding Performance, Outstanding Production Toronto Fringe 2019), One Night Only (Dora nominee, Outstanding Musical Direction), The Adventures of Tom Shadow (Canadian Comedy Award winner), CBC Kids The Story Store and the spontaneous live music show Improv Karaoke. Her solo debut EP “Dual” is available on all streaming platforms.

KYLE DOOLEY

KYLE DOOLEY (Director) (He/Him) is an actor and writer who got his start with the multiple Canadian Comedy Award winning sketch troupe Picnicface. After millions of youtube hits, touring the country with live shows and festivals like Just for Laughs and getting praise from the likes of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay on Funnyordie.com,Picnicface got its own TV show on the Comedy network. As a writer Kyle has contributed sketch comedy to TripTank (Comedy Central), The Irrelevant Show (CBC Radio) and he was a cast member of four Main Stage Revues at Second City Toronto. Kyle also writes and acts for children’s and adult animation including Gary and His Demons (Amazon Prime, Comedy Central UK), Cupcake & Dino: General Services (Netflix) and Ollie’s Pack (Nickelodeon.) Kyle also wrote and acted on the hit preschool show Miss Persona (Treehouse) which was nominated for a daytime Emmy. You can hear him playing a goofy robot on the upcoming season of Paw Patrol.
