After getting a single suggestion, the cast of six professional comedians asks the audience to choose a detective. Enjoy as they invent a tale of crime, secrets, and scandals right before your eyes. The performers will keep track of facts, follow leads, and conclude who is the murderer, all while you take in a comedy experience unlike any you’ve seen before. During the show, they’ll employ the tropes, character archetypes, and influences of Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Sherlock Holmes, Nick and Nora Charles, Encyclopedia Brown, and just a dash of Scooby-Doo.

Proudly celebrating 52 years in Toronto, The Second City presents their 90th Mainstage revue! Duel Citizens is a fast-paced comedy spectacle stacked with razor-sharp satire, hilarious songs, ridiculous characters and, of course, the signature improv comedy that The Second City is world famous for. Written and performed by a completely Canadian cast and crew, this show joyfully skewers politics, pop culture, and everything in between. Baby Wants Candy is a completely improvised, full band musical! The Event, An LGBTQ+ Showcase

Seasoned performers interview a scientist about their most exciting and interesting work, learning right alongside the audience about anything from why speed reading is a hoax, to why crabs make good test subjects. Their very real expertise becomes the inspiration for very made up improv comedy — to hilarious effect.
At this show, we’ll meet Leslie Sibener, PhD.. Sibener is a neuroscientist at Rockefeller University, currently researching how specific memories are stored for long term memory in the brain, while others are forgotten. She received her PhD from Columbia University, where she studied movement and motor learning. This show is supported by a Civic Engagement Microgrant from Research! America and an Annual Artist Grant from The Puffin Foundation, Ltd.

No Ceilings Comedy

In Worlds Collide, your favourite characters get smashed together an explosive, unpredictable show. Eight of Toronto’s funniest comedians play characters from fiction, history, pop culture and any other weirdly specific niche they can find. After meeting them, YOU, the audience decide on which characters you want to see do a hilarious improv scene together. Maybe Linda Belcher will be in a pitch meeting with Walt Disney. Maybe Rocky will be roommates with a Muppet. Any pairing can happen, as long as the audience decides it wants to see those Worlds Collide!
Worlds Collide is hosted by Maddox Campbell and produced by Kicks and Giggles Entertainment, the same people behind shows that have been making people laugh for years like Perfect Match, The Know Show, and The Resistance: Improvised.
