Every month, these courageous morons join forces to come up with one full hour of outrageous hahas. Whether you’ve been experiencing fever dreams or you would like to experience one for the first time, Chimp Cocktail is an absurd response to our absurd times. No two shows are alike, but every show will feature a monkey, and that&#8217;s a promise.</p>

These non-Second City productions are original works created and produced by guest performers and ensembles. With limited runs, these performances allow for complete creative freedom and may feature artists of any experience level.

A sketch is a short, scripted comedy scene. Think Key and Peele or SNL. Some people might call it a "skit," but we never do. Chicago is the home of modern sketch comedy, and today, you can experience it at all Second City locations.

<p>Seasoned performers interview a scientist about their most exciting and interesting work, learning right alongside the audience about anything from why speed reading is a hoax, to why crabs make good test subjects. Their very real expertise becomes the inspiration for very made up improv comedy — to hilarious effect.</p>
<p>At this show, we’ll meet Leslie Sibener, PhD.. Sibener is a neuroscientist at Rockefeller University, currently researching how specific memories are stored for long term memory in the brain, while others are forgotten. She received her PhD from Columbia University, where she studied movement and motor learning. This show is supported by a Civic Engagement Microgrant from Research! America and an Annual Artist Grant from The Puffin Foundation, Ltd.</p>
