New Year! New Show! Welcome to 2026 where the laughter runs 
hot and the jokes run cheap. Every week is a brand new sketch show, motivated by audiences suggestions from the week before. So yes, basically like a certain late-night New York show.
This talented cast whips up new material weekly for audiences to come roaring back to. Maybe there will be musical numbers, or audience involvement, or anything in between. Who knows?! We certainly don&#8217;t! New Year, New Show employs some of the most talented performers this side of North Ave. So come on down to see history made where every evening is opening and closing night at 
the same time.

Improv

A sketch is a short, scripted comedy scene. Think Key and Peele or SNL. Some people might call it a "skit," but we never do. Chicago is the home of modern sketch comedy, and today, you can experience it at all Second City locations.
