Robert Hines is an experienced teaching artist, educator, arts administrator, and actor. He has worked with children and adults of all ages and ethnic backgrounds within a variety of educational venues. As a Teaching Actor, he has worked in a wide-range of capacities including children’s arts-in-education organizations, in-school workshops, community-based theater, and various summer youth drama camps as well as here at Second City.
Robert organized, taught, supervised and directed after-school programs as well as introduced drama in the classroom. As a Classroom Teacher, he has taught third grade in a performing arts elementary school in Chicago, a magnet school in Evanston, and currently substitute teaches in elementary schools in Chicago while pursuing various independent projects. Robert holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University and is a graduate candidate of DePaul’s School of Education.
