John Hemphill

John Hemphill is an actor and writer who has directed several revues for The Second City Toronto, as well as worked as a writer and cast member on the final season of SCTV. He co-wrote the 1994 Western parody Sodbusters (starring Kris Kristofferson and Fred Willard) with Eugene Levy, who directed. The film earned Hemphill a Gemini nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.

Hemphill plays mechanic “Bob Currie” on Schitt’s Creek, for which he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2017.
