Magi Loucks

Magi Loucks is a classically trained actor, singer, writer, and comedic improvisor who ‘moves well.’  Backstage West described her as “the killer singing voice,” covering everything from legit theatre to jazz standards to Celtic folksongs.  International theatre credits include Peg, the boxer, in the European Premiere of Fighting Words.  She has performed on every type of stage, TV, and film set there is, except porn.
Loucks has improvised on dozens of variety programs (Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, etc.) as a rehearsal actor and singer, pairing her in comedy sketches with the likes of Neil Patrick Harris, Jimmy Fallon, Conan O’Brien, Jane Lynch, Ben Stiller, Kevin Spacey, Jason Sudeikis and Anthony Jeselnik, and improv-hosting shows like the Golden Globe Awards, Dancing With the Stars, and Parental Discretion.  She debuted her multi-character solo play, F is for Cancer at iO West in 2012, and stars in the original web series, It’s Magi!
Loucks holds BAs in both Theatre and English literature, is an alumna of iO West and Upright Citizens Brigade, studied musical improv at The Second City, and is in the SC Conservatory program.
In 2009, Loucks founded the non-profit corporation Emma’s Arc with the mission to improve the relationship between humans and animals, locally and worldwide, through education, community services, and the nurturing and cultivation of awareness, understanding, respect and compassion between all creatures.  www.MagiLoucks.com
