Jonathan’s performing career had a bumpy start. As a child he was almost kicked out of his Church’s Christmas play for “making stuff up and doing things that were highly inappropriate”. He later found out that what some consider “inappropriate” others find hilarious. He left home and received his theatre degree at Illinois State University. He then spent the next ten years doing Improv and traditional Theatre in Chicago. There he found a new home with the Annoyance Theatre and performed in several innovative and popular plays/musicals with some of the most talented people on the planet. After moving to Los Angeles, he divided his time between acting and writing/directing short films. His films have been screened in 200 International Film Festivals in over 60 Countries and he has received 28 International Awards for his work. As an improviser, he was honored to be on the first Upright Citizen’s Brigade Team in LA and performed on Harold Teams at IO West. He recently appeared in a number of National Commercials and on the TV shows, The Office & How I Met Your Mother. At night he hones his stand up skills and performs at The Ice House, The Comedy Store, The Improv and anywhere there is a microphone and a group of people wanting to have a good time.
