Michael has worked with improv troupes including Off the Wall, The Comedy Store Players, ComedySportz Los Angeles, The Impromptones, Opening Night: The Improvised Musical at ImprovOlympic West, Boston's Improv Asylum and The Spolin Players. He studied theatre and music at the University of Texas at Austin, Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts and the Grove School of Music. He has accompanied a diverse collection of performers, from Chuck Berry to Roseanne to Kitty Carlisle Hart. Credits include The Drew Carey Show, The Tonight Show, Evening at the Improv, ABC's Emmy Award winning Tuesdays With Morrie and Columbia Pictures' Punchline. Michael is the author of Musical Improv Comedy: Creating Songs in the Moment and Musical Direction for Improv and Sketch Comedy.
