Brand new to the world of Improv? This 4-week Intro to Improv online course is perfect for beginners. Students will gain a basic understanding of improv fundamentals and collaborative creativity as well as strategies for learning improv in a virtual environment. Through a combination of self-paced assignments and interactive group sessions, this hybrid learning class will prepare students to start their improv journey with a solid foundation in The Second City tradition. Some of the topics covered include: Yes, And, Agreement, Play, Active Listening, Point of View.
This class is an excellent entry point for a number of the Virtual Training Center’s most popular programs including Improv and Acting.
You will be sent a Zoom link prior to your first day of class. Expected time commitment outside of class is approximately 1.5 hours per week.
