

Alex Tindal has been called “sensitive” by The Globe and Mail and a “Ginger all american male” by Flosstradamus. He wrote for Baroness Von Sketch Show [CBC/IFC] and was Head Writer of Hot Globe, a Webby-nominated internet show. Alex has taken home ‘Best of the Fest’ at both the Montreal and Toronto Sketch Fests as a member of GET SOME and The Sketchersons. As a playwright, Alex has presented new works for the Rhubarb Festival at Buddies In Bad Times and the inaugural season of Videofag. No one even knows he won a Dora Award. He is balding and divorced.

ANN PORNEL Described by The Globe and Mail as “a right hot blast of funny,” Ann Pornel is an alumna of the Second City Toronto Main Stage where she wrote three critically-acclaimed shows. She would move on to join the cast of She The People, which toured at Just For Laughs in Montreal, Edmonton Fringe, as well as a limited engagement with Mirvish Productions.
Ann is a Canadian Comedy Award winner and winner of the 2017 Entertainer of the Year award from My Entertainment World. Ann’s unique perspectives on diversity, body image and inclusion have garnered her spots at NBC’s Break Out Comedy Festival and JFL 42. Her writing has also been featured on THE TORONTO STAR, THE KIT, and CHATELAINE magazine.
Ann has been co-hosting THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW since Season 4, and has earned multiple Canadian Screen Award nominations for Best Host or Presenter, Factual or Reality/Competition. Ann has previously worked on award-winning television shows such as RUN THE BURBS, THE BARONESS VON SKETCH SHOW, THE BEAVERTON and THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES. Go Jays, go!

Ben Sosa-Wright is an actor, comedian, and writer from Toronto who was named a Just For Laugh’s New Face in 2022. Ben was also named one of CBC’s 15 Canadian Comics To Watch in 2019. He’s performed in comedy clubs and festivals all over North America including Limestone Comedy Festival, NXNE, and he even headlined Just For Laughs Toronto. His writing has been featured in Reader’s Digest and Xtra magazine. His podcast Nostalgique was mentioned by Vulture as their comedy podcast of the week. Franco Nguyen is an award-winning actor, writer, director, and comedian. He is the co-creator, writer, executive producer, and star of the critically acclaimed sketch comedy series TallBoyz (CBC GEM/FUSE), which has earned multiple Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Writing, Best Ensemble, and Best Sketch Series. A graduate of The Second City Touring Company and a Bob Curry Fellow, Franco’s solo show Good Morning Viet Mom received widespread acclaim, with sold-out runs at the Toronto Fringe and Next Stage Festivals before embarking on a national tour with Cahoots Theatre.
Franco’s screen credits include an appearance on What We Do in the Shadows (FX), the Amazon reboot of The Kids in the Hall, and a featured role in Uprooted: The Plantemic (CBC GEM), where he voices Allan. His work has been featured in The Huffington Post, CBC’s Exhibitionists, and Thời Báo Media.

Michelle Hart (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary performer who specializes in theatre and improvisation. A Mount Allison Theatre grad, she’s trained, taught, and performed with comedy and theatre institutions across North America. Michelle is a two-time Pat & Tony Freedom Fund recipient, has an Outstanding Sketch/Improv Productions award from My Entertainment World, and has been featured at JFL42 on SiriusXM’s Just For Laughs. She’s performed with MSC Seaside, The Second City HouseCo, and Bad Dog Theatre’s Feature Players. Currently, Michelle is the Co-Director of The Canadian Improv Games: Improv Camp and the Head Writer on Southern Interior. You can follow her @weirdhart.

Zoe Marín (she/her) is a queer Argentine-American theatre artist and comedian based in Toronto. She officially started doing comedy in 2022 when she co-created the sketch troupe Small Friend Tall Friend. Since then, they’ve performed at festivals in Toronto, Montreal, and Hamilton, and were most recently featured in Spotlight at The Second City (Toronto Sketch Comedy). Zoe loves sketch comedy, musical comedy, and improv– not in that order. Outside of comedy, she mainly directs theatre and is the Artistic Producer of First Born Theatre Company.

Matt Keevins (he/him) is a stage manager, who specializes in improv and sketch comedy. Select credits include The weight of it all (Toronto Fringe), An evening with Devon and Jackie (Toronto Fringe), Something Small, Something Sweet (Hamilton Fringe), Come Here Often? (Buddies in Bad Times). He’s worked as a theatre tech at Comedy Bar, in The Second City Training Center and has understudied Mainstage and Tourco. He’s often shocked that he has made a whole career out of pushing buttons with great comedic timing!

Elise Wattman (she/her) is a grammy nominated composer and pianist who specializes in audio design for visual media. As Audio Lead for Jackbox Games, Elise created the music & sound for Let Me Finish, TimeJinx, Junktopia and Weapons Drawn. Elise has toured internationally on keyboards and her favourite venue is Preservation Hall in New Orleans. Elise served as Music Director for Second City Chicago e.t.c’s 44th revue, “She the People” San Diego, “Deck the Hallmark” Chicago, “America It’s Complicated” at the Kennedy Center, DC. For her work accompanying modern dance performance, Elise designed a patented digital module for live scoring. Follow her @soupysounds for kayaking and hockey fun.

Nadine Djoury is beyond thrilled to be back at The Second City to celebrate the holidays! Nadine is an alumna of the Mainstage where she wrote and performed in three critically-acclaimed revues. She currently writes for CBC’s The Great Canadian Baking Show and co-created, wrote and starred in ABC.com/CBC Comedy’s web series, Newborn Moms, earning a CSA nomination for Best Performance. Recent television credits include What We Do in the Shadows (FX), Ghosts (CBS), Transplant (NBC) and Kim’s Convenience (CBC).
