Job Description: The Maintenance Tech is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the day-to-day operational and maintenance needs of the Second City. We are looking for someone who is punctual, dependable and detail oriented.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This role is primarily weekends but may have occasional weekday requirements.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
● Equipment Management
○ Track and discard lost & found items
○ Track and store equipment/product deliveries
● Maintenance of products and spaces
○ Janitorial responsibilities (as needed)
○ Assist with immediate on-site projects
○ Complete product installation requests and troubleshooting
○ Minor repairs (as needed)
● Set-up and breakdowns for classes and/or events
○ Verify each space has sufficient chairs, supplies and/or equipment
○ Be available to assist with any malfunctions in the spaces
○ Set-up and breakdown all equipment used for classes/events
○ Inventory of class equipment (mics, amps, etc.)
○ Lock up closed areas of the building
Qualifications:
● Janitorial experience (a plus)
● Proactive and solution-focused
● Can adapt in a fast-paced environment
● Time-management skills required
● Flexible availability (willing to work mornings, evenings and weekends)
● Must be able to lift 25lbs or more
● Climb stairs, ramps and ladders occasionally during shift
● Bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
