After getting a single suggestion, the cast of six professional comedians asks the audience to choose a detective. Enjoy as they invent a tale of crime, secrets, and scandals right before your eyes. The performers will keep track of facts, follow leads, and conclude who is the murderer, all while you take in a comedy experience unlike any you’ve seen before. During the show, they’ll employ the tropes, character archetypes, and influences of Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Sherlock Holmes, Nick and Nora Charles, Encyclopedia Brown, and just a dash of Scooby-Doo.

It&#8217;s NorthWest Ohio&#8217;s most talked about event since they began construction on the Memorial Jerry Springer Auditorium- The Wig Pageant Variety 
Hour is back and bigger! Hosted by Daytime Emmy Nominated Actor Vince Michael LaFontaine and his semi-polyamorous partner, former Miss Burning River Cleveland Ohio 1984, Miss Charrels Mayhew Millér-LaFontaine, six character actors compete in hopes of being crowned the winner of the Wig Pageant. Each performer is given the same wig and a 5 minute set to perform a piece as the character they have developed with the wig. At the end of the pageant, the audience chooses the winner of this month’s pageant, sending them to the Grand Finale later this year. It&#8217;s a Miss America Pageant meets a John Waters film meets a QVC commercial- musical numbers, sponsored commercials, glitz, glam, trash, and a whole lot of CHARACTER ACTING!

The Wig Pageant Variety Hour

Not Safe for Work is a brand-new comedy show clocking in to roast the unrelenting day-to-day grind. From incompetent managers and weird co-workers to impossible customers and inboxes that are like an all-you-can-eat buffet of stupidity, no job is safe. Whether you’re hustling in the gig economy, surviving the 9-to-5, or just trying to make it through one more Zoom call without consuming a vat of medical-grade caffeine, The Second City’s cast of comedic professionals are here working overtime with their world-famous brand of sketch and improv comedy. The Infinite Wrench is a dynamic, mind-bending barrage of 30 original plays that the NY Neo-Futurists try to perform within a single hour. Each play offers something different, be it funny, profound, elegant, disgusting, topical, irrelevant, terrifying, or a song. All are truthful and tackle the here-and-now, inspired by the lived experiences of the performers. With new plays and new combinations of plays every performance, The Infinite Wrench is the Neo-Futurists’ ongoing and ever-changing attempt to shift the conventions of live performance and challenge the fourth wall head-on.
On June 27/28 join us for our annual Pride-themed specialty show.
