This essential workshop will explain everything you need to know before you write a script. Script structure is easier than you think, but incredibly important to follow. Pete will help you focus on your target audience before you write your script, and guide you on how to maximize its success. Do you know when the act breaks come? What the inciting incident is? What the difference is between a midpoint and a low point? Well, you will when you leave this workshop. Additionally, students will bring their own original pitches for screenplays and Pete will give you feedback and tips on how to shape them.

About the instructor: While writing various pilots for CBS, CW and ABC Family, Pete Goldfinger bumped along working on such iconic and important television shows as MTV’s Date My Mom, Next, and Parental Control. Through all of this, Pete struggled to write his Citizen Kane—a screenplay so robust it would change the way we look at Motion Pictures. What followed arrived in theaters during the summer of 2009 and was called Sorority Row.
Not willing to stop there, Pete further tested the boundaries of innovative filmmaking the following summer with Piranha 3D, the only movie to date where you can see a piranha eating Jerry O’Connell’s penis.
Currently, Pete and his writing partner, Josh Stolberg, are working on a feature for PCH Films, in which they are adapting the popular children’s book series, Skippyjon Jones. Additionally, they recently produced Piranha 3DD.
Pete is also a sometimes writer for the Huffington Post.
