A Training Center Writing Student Was Just Published by ‘The New Yorker’

Tip big, and tip often…or you might just ruin someone’s life.

That’s the takeaway from former Second City Training Center student Katie Nguyen, whose piece “Times You Didn’t Tip Enough and Ruined Someone’s Life” was published in The New Yorker‘s infamous Shouts & Murmurs section.

Katie, a Portland, Oregon-based comedian and teacher, wrote the piece as a class assignment in her Writing Satire for the Internet (Level 2, to be specific) online class.
