Position Overview

The Training Center Assistants will serve as the first-contact to assist faculty or students entering the administrative office. They will work closely with the night and weekend Operations team to ensure all shift projects and duties are covered during the evening and weekend hours.

The Training Assistants will also oversee the volunteer program, conducting orientations, staffing all events, tracking and logging credits and processing registrations.

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Student Success Manager.

Intended Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 (open to an 8-4 as well)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Find subs for teachers missing classes (if necessary)
    • Warm-up classes (if necessary)
  • Find teacher for a class when assistance is needed
  • Print, distribute, scan and shred student evaluations
  • Distribute and track student attendance
  • Create, print and distribute class announcements
  • Signage for special events, discounts and wayfinding signs
  • Assist with any admin projects given by TC admin staff
  • Order Class supplies (ie: Acting 1 books)
  • Assist with booking travel for off-site projects

Requirements

  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • Able to work nights and weekends (on occasion)
  • Climb stairs, ramps and ladders occasionally during shift
  • Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds
