The list of alumni that have graced our stages and training centres is a staggering who’s-who of North America’s biggest entertainers. We also have a corporate services arm – Second City Works – serving over 600 clients each year with custom training & entertainment.

About this Position  The Sales Associate’s position will focus on a series of core products within The Second City, including :

  • Training Center’s affiliate program : partnership discounts for organizations, strategically offered to drive sales

  • RewireU, our corporate education class, which uses improvisation to improve teamwork, creativity, and communication.

  • Harold Ramis Film School, the world’s first comedic film school

This is a Sales position, so you know who we’re looking for :  someone driven, self-motivated, all that.  Our ideal candidate will be a flexible individual who is sales-driven and fun to work with.  The Second City is a fast-paced, exciting and challenging environment with excellent potential for growth.  The position requires some flexibility in working hours as business demands often change at last minute.  Normal business hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, however some early morning, evening and weekend work may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Affiliate sales & marketing background, tied to quotas

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in outbound sales is required.

  • Desire to achieve and exceed set sales quotas

  • Experience cold-calling / prospecting sales leads

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

  • Experience with ticketing and CRM systems are considered an asset

Core Responsibilities

  • Create cold-calling “target lists” and maintain consistent outbound sales efforts.

  • Work as a team with the Marketing Department, Sales Managers & Customer Service team to ensure a high level of service & product knowledge.

  • Field inbound inquiries related to education products such as RewireU & the Harold Ramis Film School.

  • Maintain marketing materials and assist to create an effective marketing schedule focused on various sales segments.

  • Maintain CRM databases to solidify relationships with current client base and maximize repeat business

  • Prepare contracts and invoices, track deposits and final payments
