Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000/Year

About this role:

The Second City New York Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting various areas within the marketing department, divided as follows:

Entertainment 40%

Education 40%

Local brand 20%

This is a tactical marketing position that focuses on event and project management. We are looking for someone with a passion for organizing chaos and finding the devil in the details. Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented person who can run projects independently and collaborate with others. This person will work closely with and support the Senior Marketing and Production teams. The Second City is a fast-paced, exciting, and challenging environment with tremendous growth potential. Regular business hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday; however, some early morning, evening and weekend work may be required occasionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate marketing projects

Ensure marketing materials are organized, accurate, and up-to-date on a shared drive

Submit requests for creative projects like signage, promotional materials and digital

assets

Work with external vendors to order printed and promotional materials

Generate social media content for Second City properties regarding New York location

Gather information & suggest promotional partnerships for the Training Center and Stages

Support social / digital / PR initiatives:

Maintain the social and digital activation calendar

Identify influencers and PR targets that align with our brand and target buyer

Project manage digital campaigns & email communications

Event coordination:

Show opening events, training center and venue open houses, and community events.

Coordinate and track shipments to and from events.

Maintain an Event Toolkit for SC NYC, including schedules, logistic details, logos, speaker bios, social media information and relevant content.

Schedule & facilitate pre- and post-event meetings with internal stakeholders to determine areas of improvement and opportunities.

Maintain the schedule for pre and post-event communications (e.g. social, emails, press releases, etc.)

Track all costs related to marketing events.

Candidate Qualifications and Characteristics:

Minimum 4-6 years marketing experience

Experience tracking a budget

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

Experience with ticketing and CRM systems is considered an asset

Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets Core Responsibilities
