One of the busiest positions in our building, the Box Office Associate is responsible for the sales of tickets in person, will call procedures for our seven busy theatre spaces, greeting and directing patrons, general customer service, as well as various administrative tasks. This position is under the supervision of the Box Office Manager.
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about comedy, improv, and theatre, as well as have a working knowledge of the Chicago theatre or comedy scenes. We are looking for candidates with a good face to face presence and a demonstrated history of dependability and punctuality.
Previous box office experience is preferred and experience with CRM and/or Patron Manager is a plus.
COMPENSATION AND HOURS
Weekend and nighttime availability is required for this position, and operational hours range from 1pm until 2am throughout the week. The Second City asks for a minimum weekly commitment of 2 shifts totaling at least 10 hours, with a maximum of 30.
Associates are paid an hourly wage, and have the opportunity to make commission off of merchandise sales and dinner reservation bookings.
