Bruce Pirrie

A few weeks after joining a beginner improv class at The Second City, Bruce was invited to audition for The Second City Touring Company. Bruce then began a long and fruitful association with Second City that saw him move from Tour Co to a lauded Mainstage performer at the legendary Old Firehall who wrote and performed in six reviews with some of Second City's best - Colin Mochrie, Mike Myers, Ryan Stiles, Ron James, Kathryn Greenwood, Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty, Andrea Martin, Harold Ramis, Bonnie Hunt, Del Close. He turned to directing and created 11 original shows for Second City in Toronto, London, Las Vegas and Chicago.

Bruce has been nominated and received various national awards: Dora Mavor Moores, Geminis, and the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Bruce's producing and writing credits include THE RED GREEN SHOW, SUPERTOWN CHALLENGE, MR. HAPPY, and THE FIFTH QUADRANT.

A sketch comedy series he directed, CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN NUTS is currently airing on APTN.

Along with Leslie Seiler and Lauren Ash, Bruce beat out 140 other entries to win the inaugural Pilot Week competition which resulted in a development deal with Insight Productions.
