In 2014, he was selected as one of thirteen directors for Film Independent's signature diversity program Project Involve, where he directed the short film Counter; which went on to screen at 10+ film festivals including Sedona, Pan African, Newport, and Cleveland Film Festival. In 2015, he was selected as one of fifteen directors for the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. In addition to the above, Bouier also performs stand-up comedy around the Los Angeles area.

Currently, he is developing a number of projects including two dramatic feature films based in his hometown of Detroit. Additionally, he's a current member of the Short Form Ensemble team The Hills Have Thighs at Second City and the indie Long Form team Differently Abled.

He is the proud father of no children.
