This Directing for Film class is an introduction on how to access your creative vision to realize written and improvised materials. Good for beginners or if you have experience directing stage or short films but want a more formalized approach to directing film. We focus on film directing terms, how to turn written material into performance, how to understand camera, editing, mise en scene, and the role of the director in all stages of production.
Directing for Film is open to students who have completed Comedy Film Production 1, Intro to Writing for TV & Film, or with program head approval. The class meets once a week for three hours over four weeks.
