Michael Conway has spent the last 18 years working behind the scenes in the Chicago entertainment community. He has worked for several theaters in the Chicago area, and has served as an educator for Quigley Seminary, Gordon Tech and Madonna high schools. He was previously employed with Congress Theater as GM and booking agent for ten years. While at the Congress, Michael worked with such acts as: The Who, Nas, Ani DiFranco, Oprah, Meat Loaf, Wu Tang, Jose Feliciano, Evanescence, Jimmy Page, Ludacris and Slipknot. He also worked closely with House of Blues and Clear Channel Entertainment to bring national acts to one of Chicago's few surviving independent venues.
Mr. Conway is currently the Director of Operations of The Second City. He is responsible for the day to day operations of the theater, including The Second City Bar and maintenance staff. His duties include: budget oversight, purchasing and customer care. He most recently oversaw the construction of The Second City's expansion which added an additional 10,000 square feet of educational and office space, and was also responsible for much of the "in house" logistics for The Second City's 50th Anniversary celebration.
