Phylicia McLeod

Phylicia McLeod is an improviser, writer, voice over actress, and teacher based in Chicago, IL. She began her comedy career at Second City Chicago and completed the conservatory & Bob Curry Fellowship programs. You can hear her as she co-host the podcast “Unlearning” or in her head learning how to read Tarot Cards.

Vernon Mina

Vernon Mina is an NBC Bob Curry Fellow and an alumni of the Second City National Touring Company. He is a Honduran born, Chicago raised comedian that featured the first Latinx Variety Show at the Second City as both host and performer. He is represented by Grossman & Jack (CHI) and Griffin Talent (LA). Much love to his Wife, Son and entire Family. Conspiracy theories are romantic.

Alyssa Rivera

Alyssa Rivera (she/her/hers) is a comedian, actor and writer originally from Chevy Chase, Maryland. Alyssa has been lucky enough to perform with teams such as Second City’s Urban Twist, Baby Wants Candy, Dick Wolf Improv and more! She can often be seen around the city performing improv and sketch, teaching, or drinking iced coffee well into the winter. Much love to her family, fiance and dog and the rest of the cast for the very good vibes.

 

Rob Wilson

Rob Wilson is equally excited to be able to be on this stage and to perform for real people that don’t live with him. He has been on TV before and plans to do it again. Noelle Lynn, is originally from Chicago, where she started modeling, acting, & doing standup. She now resides in Los Angeles. CO. is a Chicago native who has been immersed in the culture of music and the arts for the majority of her life. She entered into the industry as a background vocalist, supporting artists such as Kindred The Family Soul, Tasha Cobbs, William Murphy, Todd Dulaney and more. Her background in Jazz and Gospel influences her soulful approach to Pop and Contemporary R&B music. Her first release, “Handle It”, is the perfect introduction to her vibrant and melodic musical style. Vicky Diaz-Escobar (Stage Manager) is so excited to be Stage Managing for The Second City!  Originally from San Antonio, Vicky has been working with The Second City since 2018. Vicky is a graduate of TCU in Fort Worth, Texas and loves bringing lights to peoples faces post-pandemic. Enjoy the show!

Jon Carr (Executive Producer) Jon Carr is the Executive Producer of The Second City, one of the world’s most influential and prolific comedy theatres, improv training centers and provider of wellness and education programs, and TV, film and digital productions. Carr has been a writer-performer for almost 20 years and most recently was the Artistic Director of Dad’s Garage Theatre Company in Atlanta, as well as the Audience Development Manager for Alliance Theatre. Jon founded United Atlanta Improv and has helped improv theatres around the city come together through collaborative works. His improv group, Dark Side of the Room, has been featured at The Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum and performed around North America. He has written and performed in a number of shows including “Black Nerd” (Winner of the 2018 Suzi Bass Award for Best Original play). A native of Los Angeles, Calif., he holds a degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Georgia State University. The Second City has theaters and Training Centers in Chicago, Toronto and Hollywood.

JONALD JUDE REYES (Director) is a writer, performer, and director from Chicago, by way of Rutgers University in New Jersey.  He’s trained at The Second City, iO, Annoyance, Chicago Dramatists and the Neofuturists. As a director, Jonald was honored to be named Chicago Reader’s Best of Stage Director (2016). He is a member of Directors Lab Lincoln Center Theater 2017 and DirectorsLabChicago 2016. His recent directing credits include The Second City Touring Company, Stir Friday Night’s We Are Asian. We Do Comedy. (Steppenwolf Theatre’s LookOut Series), Hyde Ya Kids, Hyde Ya Park (The Revival), and the 30th Anniversary of Splatter Theater (Annoyance). He has been the Assistant to the Director for Do You Believe In Madness? (The Second City’s 108th Mainstage), The Second City’s Left Leaning and Always Right (Berkeley Rep), and Generation Gap (The Kennedy Center).  Jonald is on the Steering Committee for DirectorsLabChicago and is an Associate Artistic Director at The Revival.
