This course introduces longform improv technique into the study of improvised music. Students use longform formats to create completely improvised musicals. The class performances mirror formats like La Ronde and an Armando. The class examines the formats and replaces scenes and transitions with opening numbers, duets, ballads, quartets, revolution songs and reprises.
