Jazz Hands

Jazz Hands September 6-October 25

Jazz Hands is a dance class specifically designed to help improvisers and comedians get out of their heads and into their bodies. The routines are based on Robin’s award-winning comedic work with Dance Animal. Fusing improv philosophy with dance, this class will help you to develop your on-stage physicality, facial expressions and musicality. In addition, it will help you to create an understanding of what and why certain movement is funny, why fully committing to the movement is important and how body awareness can be used as an effective comedic tool. Side bonus: Jazz Hands will also improve your fitness. Absolutely NO dance experience necessary. Those with 2-left feet are most welcome. Now let me see your Jazz Hands!
Please note that while Jazz Hands is comedic training we will be sweating, stretching, doing sit-ups and dancing our butts off (literally). Should you have questions about the fitness level please feel free to contact Robin at

Prerequisites: Open to all students
