Musical Improv Conservatory

Our Music Improv program introduces students to the wonderful world of improvised musical theatre. Students will also learn songwriting and vocal performance skills as well as improv-to-script content development.

$310+HST / $280+HST early registered
Early registration not applicable to Music Improv Conservatory 1

Prerequisite: An audition is required for admission to the Music Improv Conservatory. To be eligible to audition, students must have completed one year of improv training (i.e. Improv A-E or equivalent), and 20 hours of singing experience/training or a Musical Theatre degree. Please submit a headshot and resume to the Training Centre in accordance with the dates listed in the term schedule.     Fundamental scenic improv, pitch volume and theory vocal training

Music Conservatory 2 TBA

    Musical genres, ensemble improvised singing and heightened storytelling

Music Conservatory 3 TBA

    Broadway musical genres, song structure, harmony, duets

Music Conservatory 4 TBA

    Creating premise, creating songs, finding characters

Music Conservatory 5 TBA

    Complete the book for the final show, write opening number edit songs.

Music Conservatory 6 TBA

    Rehearse and complete the final edit of your original musical performance.
