Acting

A text-based acting class is a pre-requisite for those without formal theatre training who wish to audition for the SC Conservatory Program. If you’re serious about continuing with The Second City Training Centre, or simply want to enrich your performance skills this course is the only acting class specifically geared towards improvisers. Learn acting skills such as: preparation, being truthful, making honest choices, using physicality, objectives, and a practical technique for analyzing text. Understand what’s expected of you in an audition, and how to avoid acting and audition pitfalls. Scenes from both Classic literature and Second City Archives will be assigned with you and a partner on a week to week basis.
