We’ll open up the honest and physical world of the clown, invite you to explore and expose your capacity to be creative via your most ridiculous self.

About the instructors: The Clown School–Since 2009, this premiere clown school has taught a diverse population of participants from all over the world and now they’re coming to SECOND CITY HOLLYWOOD! "A truly spectacular and unforgettable class" (LA Stage).

Zach Steel studied the performing arts at NYU (Stella Adler Conservatory, Experimental Theater Wing, and the international program in Amsterdam). LA performing credits include the multi-award winning Four Clowns productions Romeo & Juliet and Me Rich You Learn (which Zach co-wrote and performed with Adam Carpenter), and The Kitty Kat Show and Henry's Potato at Redcat (also co-written and performed with Adam Carpenter). In New York, Zach has appeared at PS 122, Symphony Space, and Dance New Amsterdam, among others. TV credits include Disney's A.N.T. Farm, NBC’s Parenthood, and Kath & Kim. His Comedy Central web series, Book Club, written by Zach along with Adam Nee, airs regularly. Zach is a faculty member at The Clown School in Los Angeles and with USC. He has also taught improv and clown at CalArts, Loyola Marymount, the UCLA Performing Arts Summer Camp, and the Adat Shalom Synagogue.
