The Second City
Rebekah Walendzak is co-founder of Bare Boned Theatre, where she served as Artistic Director for three seasons. She is an actor, writer and director with a B.A. in Theatre Arts from San Jose State University. Acting credits include seasons with the California Shakespeare Festival, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Sedona and the Mendocino Coast Shakespeare Festival along with work with many San Fransciso Bay Area theaters. As a playwright, Rebekah has co-written the plays Husband & Life, The Hecubae, and Adam & Eve, Lilith & Steve: A Musical of Biblical Proportions, as well as serving for three seasons as head writer on The Ville, Bare Boned Theatre's live LGBT soap opera. Directing credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream for East Los Angeles Repertory Theatre, 11 episodes of The Ville for Bare Boned Theatre, sketch revues for the improv/sketch groups Jazz Hands Across America and Cousin Terry, along with Writing 6 graduate sketch revues for the Second City Training Center. Rebekah is a graduate of the Second City Improvisation Conservatory and Writing Program.
