Gary (Gar) Hoover is a screenwriter and playwright based in Chicago. As a team with his writing partner, Beth, his work has been recognized by more than two dozen film festivals and national writing competitions, taking top honors in eight. He has a feature in development and is working on several film and TV projects while teaching screenwriting to upperclassmen in the International Film and Media Studies program at Loyola University. He is creative director and a founding partner at ideafarm, a brand and web development agency that helps entrepreneurial companies tell their stories to the marketplace. A journalist and bass player in previous lives, Gar is an accomplished photographer whose street art series can be seen on exhibit around the city. He is a member of the 2012 Chicago Comedy Film Festival jury.
