Dave Jennings' improv and comedy studies began at the Brave New Workshop Comedy Theatre, the nations oldest running comedy theatre, in Minneapolis, MN while he was attending the University of Minnesota in pursuit of a BA in Theatre Arts. At the BNW he graduated from their conservatory program and went on to teach improvisation to teens, adults, corporate clients, and also developed team building and communication education programs using improvisation for college organizations. Dave also studied and performed short form improvisation at ComedySportz (Twin Cities) before relocating to Chicago in 2008 to continue his studies. He has since graduated from The Second City Conservatory, The Annoyance, and is a student of The iO. He can also be seen directing and performing in shows around town at the Playground and Annoyance Theatre. He is regularly teaching in the Teen and Youth Program of the Second City Training Center. In the Summer of 2009 he co-founded EP Productions, which produces a weekly improv revue at the Playground Theater called Extended Play which has hosted performers from Chicago, Minnesota, Ohio, and Texas.
When he is not improvising or doing comedy related activities he can be found at the Music Box Theatre - Chicago's premiere art house cinema - where he is the General Manager, biking around Chicago on his slowly growing collection of Raleigh road bikes or his Rickshaw Bicycle Taxi, or visiting his family's horse farm in Southeastern Wisconsin.
