Writing the Sitcom Spec

After studying story structure and how to pitch ideas, students develop a spec script for an existing sitcom. Spec scripts are the industry standard writing samples for those wanting to work in sitcoms. These samples show potential agents and producers that the writer understands the format and can write for an existing show. This course guides students through the process of developing their sitcom scripts and creating a portfolio of samples.
