Audition Basics
Ready to get into the acting business, but aren't sure how to take the first step? Been improvising for a while but aren't quite sure how to crack those improv auditions? Both our Audition 101 and Audition 201 classes are in place to help students learn and hone their skills for their next audition opportunities.

Prerequisites: No experience necessary
- Are you new to the world of improvisation and acting and interested in pursuing it further? Would you like to audition for shows here at the Training Center and elsewhere but don’t know where to start? This course answers all your questions about getting into the business side of being an actor: what to expect when you walk into an audition, how to put together an acting resume, what is a headshot and how to get a good one, when and how to look into getting a commercial agent. This course is recommended for students in our Improv Program, as well as anyone who wants to start auditioning but doesn’t know where to begin.
Audition 201 - Auditioning for Sketch & Improv TBA
Prerequisites: This course is designed for Conservatory students and graduates. Other students may be accepted with instructor approval.
- For the experienced improviser and sketch performer, learn to focus on the skills needed at auditions for improvisation and sketch revues. Experience a variety of types of fully improvised auditions, work with cold reading comic sketches, and get specific feedback on how to improve your personal audition technique.
