Across the Finish Line

Classes are great and serve a definite purpose, but no aspiring Chicago writer or performer endeavors to be a career student indefinitely. In this class, advanced students are encouraged to bring in their work-in-progress that is this close to being done for feedback and story support: screenplays, sketch shows, musicals about robots, or whatever. The basics of storytelling will be revisited to explore how the building blocks can unblock people who feel “stuck.” More than anything else, this is an opportunity to get pages read, premises discussed, and ambitious projects nudged from the “to-do” column into the “done!” victory pile.
