An introduction to the basics of music improv, this eight-week course covers all of the essentials skills needed to succeed in creating improvised songs and musical scenes. Strengthen your vocal technique, improve your musicianship, learn to rhyme, and apply your existing improv skills in song.

Prerequisites: Improv Level E or equivalent, Intro to Music, or Vocal Basics

Deepen your musical improv scene work in this eight-week course by bringing more character and specificity into your songs. Learn how to use the technical skills of rhyming and melody to serve the scene, and ground your songs in listening and honest emotional reaction. Hone your recognition and execution of musical styles to become a well-rounded, confident musical improviser.
