Beginning/Kids Workshop
The Second City's Improv for Beginners (or Children) focuses on teaching students the building blocks of improvisation. Students have a great time learning and playing with our touring company members. This workshop teaches beginning improv concepts and is two hours long.
Improv for Actors (Intermediate)
This class is perfect for college level improvisers or actors who want to use improvisational techniques to support their text work. The Second City's Improv for Actors (or Intermediate level) focuses on teaching students scenic improvisation with an emphasis on connection and relationship. This workshop is two hours long.
Master Class (Improv for Improv/Sketch groups)
This class is for already formed improv/sketch groups, or individuals with solid improv experience. The Second City's Master Class (Improv for Improv and Sketch groups) focuses on teaching students scenic improvisation with an emphasis on building ensemble and strengthening the improv toolbox. This workshop is two hours long.
Musical Improv Workshop
This Second City Musical workshop serves as an introduction to incorporating music into any type of Improv performance. This workshop is ideal for any performer who wishes to expand their skill set and is perfect for any level of performer.
Writing thru Improvisation
This class is for improv/sketch groups, or individuals with improv experience who want to be better sketch writers. The Second City's Writing Workshop focuses on teaching students the process of writing comedic scenes thru the use of improvisation. This workshop is two hours long.
Lecture/Demonstration
You can learn the secrets of Second City Comedy by joining in on the games or just watch and learn! The Second City's Lecture/Demonstration workshop introduces the essential elements of Second City style scenic improvisation through a combination of lecture and audience participation. This workshop is 1 ½ hours long maximum.
